About Us
Mitzi Davidson is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a BA in
Theater
Performance. She then went back for a graduate degree in
Design. When Mitzi started her business, she decided to
leverage the reputation she had already earned sewing quilts
for school fund raisers. She loves window treatments and
feels they help define and finish a room, much the way
jewelry adds that final touch to a well designed outfit.
Mitzi has evolved a process that makes it easy and enjoyable
for home owners to add those special touches to finish any
room in their home. While the initial conversation on the
phone will help Mitzi determine what products to bring with
her to the clients home, she knows that the design requires
visiting the home to see its personality first hand.
It is important to start with an understanding of what you,
the client, need. Are you looking for privacy, temperature
control, or simply a decorative touch to complete a room? Do
you want vertical window coverings or valances to frame the
window(s)? With this information, along with an idea of your
likes and dislikes, Mitzi loads samples into her car for a
meeting at your home.
In effect, Mitzi brings her store to your house. She brings:
- Blind and shade samples for privacy and/or temperature
control
- Fabric collections that match your color preferences
- Hardware (curtain rods, finials, etc) samples if you are
selecting drapes
- Design books to spark your imagination
Mitzi is passionate about helping other people. She is
thrilled that her business provides her with the flexibility
to combine business ownership with her roles as mother and
wife. Mitzi is also proud that she's been able to maintain
her volunteer activities including the Hollis Women's Club
and Cub Scouts. She loves music, reading, skiing and is
thrilled to be combining her design, sewing and project
management skills to help her customers enjoy their homes
more. |
